RE:                  Recommendation to Fill Current Commission Vacancy

At the January 18, 2006 meeting of the Parks and Recreation Commission, the Commission voted unanimously (10-0) to recommend that the Council appoint Antonio Rodriguez Thompson to fill the current vacancy on the Commission. In addition, the Commission was particularly pleased to meet six of the ten current applicants to serve on the Commission and was impressed by each of the applicant’s interest and perspective they offer.

The Commission appreciates the opportunity to review and make a recommendation regarding applications to serve on the Commission.
