PURPOSE
Attached is a report from Orange Water and Sewer Authority (OWASA) as requested by the Town Manager in a letter dated November 8, 2005 (Part of Attachment 1).
BACKGROUND
At the Town Council’s request, the Town Manager contacted OWASA and requested that the public utility provide the Town with an assessment of future demand and capacity for wastewater treatment and water supply. The Council was particularly interested in how changing development trends and increasing density, as reflected in recent development proposals, may influence the demand for and capacity of OWASA’s wastewater treatment and water supply.
DISCUSSION
OWASA will make a presentation to the Town Council tonight. A copy of the Future Demand/Capacity Report is attached.
