INTRODUCTION
Tonight, the Council holds a Public Hearing regarding a request for Special Use Permit Modification to allow a proposed Park/Ride Terminal at the Chapel Hill Bible Church. The purpose of this cover memorandum is to forward the Town Manager’s recommendation to the Council for the application. The application proposes to lease 241 existing parking spaces from the Chapel Hill Bible Church for use by University employees. The applicant is proposing minor changes to the site. Details are included in the attached memorandum.
The Town Manager has reviewed and discussed the key issues with Town staff. Based on the information in the record to date, we believe that the Council could make the findings required to approve the Special Use Permit Modification application. The Town Manager’s preliminary recommendation is that the Council adopt Resolution A, approving the application with conditions.
