WHEREAS, the Town of Chapel Hill has solicited formal bids by legal notice on October 16, 2006 in accordance with G.S. 143-129 for the purchase and delivery of buses, and
WHEREAS, a single bid from North American Bus Industries was received and opened on January 4, 2007, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that a contract for the purchase of up to four buses be awarded to the North American Bus Industries.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council authorizes the Town Manager to enter into a contract for award of additional buses over a five-year period from this same contract pending securement of local matching funds to cover the needed 10 percent match.
