PURPOSE

 

Tonight, the Council holds a Public Hearing regarding a request for a Special Use Permit to allow construction of 7,963 square feet of floor area at the Chapel Hill Country Club, located at northwest corner of Lancaster Drive and Newcastle Drive. Details are included in the attached memorandum.  The purpose of this cover memorandum is to forward the Town Manager’s preliminary recommendation to the Council.

 

MANAGER’S PRELIMINARY RECOMMENDATION

 

I have reviewed and discussed the key issues with Town staff.  Based on the information in the record to date, we believe that the Council could make the findings required to approve an application for a Special Use Permit.

 

The Town Manager’s Preliminary Recommendation is that the Council adopt Resolution A, approving an application for the Chapel Hill Country Club Special Use Permit.
