Public Hearing: Freedom House - Application for Special Use Permit Modification (File No. 9880-22-3617) |
date: |
April 16, 2007 |
Tonight, the Council holds a Public Hearing regarding a request for a Special Use Permit Modification to allow construction at Freedom House, a group care facility, located on the west side of Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. between Parkside Subdivision and Homestead Community Park. Tonight’s Public Hearing has been scheduled to receive evidence in support of and in opposition to approval of the application, as the Council determines the appropriate requirements to include as conditions of approval. The purpose of this cover memorandum is to forward my preliminary recommendation to the Council.
I have reviewed and discussed the key issues with Town staff. Based on the information in the record to date, we believe that the Council could make the findings required to approve an application for a Special Use Permit Modification.
My recommendation is that the Council adopt Resolution A, approving an application for the Freedom House Special Use Permit Modification.
