A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR A PURCHASED POWER AGREEMENT BETWEEN DUKE ENERGY CAROLINAS, LLC. AND THE TOWN (2007-09-24/R-8)

WHEREAS, The Town of Chapel Hill has installed a photovoltaic system on Fire Station #1; and

WHEREAS, Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC requires a Purchased Power Agreement to activate said system; and

WHEREAS, the installation of the photovoltaic system at Fire Station #1 is consistent with the Town Council’s goals for sustainable development;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council authorizes the Town Manager to enter into a contract with Duke Energy Carolinas, LLC in the form of a Purchased Power Agreement.
