WHEREAS, Town Council realizes the importance of Parking on the overall health of downtown; and
WHEREAS, Town Council desires to see Parking managed for the good of economic development in downtown; and
WHEREAS, Town Council realizes the importance of being able to understand the Parking regulations in order to encourage citizens and visitors to utilize downtown for shopping and dining;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill adopts Recommendations #1, 2, 4 and 6 and that Council refer Recommendation #3 to the Town Manager for review and recommendation of options to minimize the requirement for a subsidy from other Town sources.
