The LIBRARY MASTER PLAN is the result of a six-year process (1997-2003) that  identified library services, facilities, technology and staffing for Chapel Hill through 2025.  The Plan was adopted by the Chapel Hill Town Council on April 28, 2003. 

The LIBRARY MASTER PLAN is comprised of  three separate studies:

• The Five Year Service Plan:  2001-2006 and Long Term Facilities Needs Through 2020.

• The Chapel Hill Public Library Information Technology Plan: 2003-2007.  

• The Chapel Hill Public Library Building Program:  2003-2025.
