7/4/2005 -- Fourth of July Fireworks

Celebrate July 4th with live music, food and fireworks! The Town of Chapel Hill's annual July 4th Celebration fireworks show will be held at UNC's Kenan Memorial Stadium. There will be inside viewing only, so come early for a great seat!
Kenan Stadium Gates 5 and 6 on the south side open at 6:30 p.m. Live music begins at 7 p.m., with local dignitaries providing an official welcome at 8 p.m. and live entertainment continuing throughout the evening. The fireworks display is scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m. and end at 10 p.m., and can only be seen from inside the stadium. In the event of threatening or inclement weather, the fireworks show may begin earlier than scheduled, so come early so you won’t miss them!

Recommended parking for the event is in on the University’s South Campus at Craig, Dogwood and Cardinal Parking Decks off Manning Drive. Disability parking will be available in the Bell Tower Lot. Security personnel at the gates will direct patrons to disability seating. Alcohol is prohibited. Coolers, outside containers and food items are not allowed in the stadium. Concession stands will be open to purchase soft drinks, water, foods and treats.

8 p.m.-  Official Welcome by Local Dignitaries
8:05-9:25 p.m.- Live Music
9:25 p.m.-  National Anthem
9:30 p.m.-  **Fireworks Display**
