North Forest Hills Park: One half mile natural surface
loop trail. Located 3 miles north of downtown, east of Martin Luther King Jr Blvd,
off Collums Drive.
Southern Community Park: One and a half mile temporary loop trail
with natural surface for pedestrian and mountain bike use. Bikes prohibited in
wet conditions. Trail will be available until such time as Southern Community Park
is developed. Located south of Southern Village and Scroggs Elementary.
Cedar Falls Park: One and a half miles of natural surface trails
within Cedar Falls Park. Connects passive recreation areas with adjacent neighborhoods.
Located on Weaver Dairy Road, across from East Chapel Hill High School.
Linear Park: One third mile long, partially completed 10’ wide
sidewalk/bikeway connector located off of East Franklin Street. Trail will be extended
to the northwest corner of Fordham Boulevard and Elliot Road.
Proposed Trails
Meadowmont: 0.9 miles of paved greenway trails for pedestrians and
bicyclists, with 1,700 feet of natural surface trails proposed throughout the
development.
Pritchard Park: A half mile loop trail around the perimeter of the
park and library area may be built. Please call 968-2784 for status.
