Resolution Promoting Affordable Housing as a Component of New Residential Developments: In March 2000, the Town of Chapel Hill passed a resolution to increase the availability of affordable housing for low and moderate income households in town. Rosemary Place Affordable Townhomes, Meadowmont In the Spring of 2000, the Orange County Housing and Community Land Trust (OCHCLT) began the process that would lead to the creation of thirty-two affordable townhomes in the Meadowmont development, which are currently nearing completion.
