Introduction:

On September 8th, 2003 the Town Council authorized preparation of a Bicycle and Pedestrian Action Plan; this is a plan to create a network of bikeways and sidewalks that serves citizens' needs, especially for travel to employment centers, commercial districts, transit stops, institutions, and recreational destinations. Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan Report

 

The action plan is a long range plan. It could become a component of the Town’s Comprehensive Plan. Plan implementation could be incorporated in the Town’s Capital Improvements Program process.

 

Process and Schedule:  A first draft plan was completed in June, 2004 a public hearing is slated for September 20, 2004 with referral to Town Boards and Commissions for comment.
