Southern Area - Small Area Plan  (pdf now available on-line) Small area plan adopted in 1992 includes land use, transportation, green space and other objectives for the southern Chapel Hill area.

Land Use Management Ordinance The Land Use Management Ordinance (LUMO) specifies standards for land use and development in Chapel Hill.

Chapel Hill Data Book and Community Indicators The 2004 edition of the Chapel Hill Data Book and the annual Community Indicators document are available. The documents provide data that help measure the Town's progress on achieving the goals of the 2000 Comprehensive Plan. The Indicators provide a year-to-year progress report on issues such as water quality, transportation facilities, crime, and public services.
 
Comprehensive Plan Based on an analysis of where Chapel Hill is today, the Plan articulates a vision and directions for the community's future. The Plan, adopted in May 2000, addresses a diverse range of issues, including housing, land use and development, transportation, the environment, and community facilities.

Downtown Chapel Hill Design Workshop Summary Report (2002). Summary report from the February and March, 2002 Design Workshop on four focus areas in the Town Center, including Town Parking Lots Number 2 and 5.
 

Downtown Small Area Plan and Downtown Design Guidelines A component of the Comprehensive Plan, the Downtown Small Area Plan puts forth policy guidelines and a conceptual plan for future development in the Town Center. The Design Guidelines, adopted with the Downtown Small Area Plan, articulate the desired built form for Downtown Chapel Hill.
 

Chapel Hill Million Solar Roofs Action Plan The Million Solar Roofs Action Plan includes recommendations for the Town to move forward on achieving its goal of 500 new solar energy systems installed on area buildings by 2010.
 

2002 Mobility Report Card Mobility Report Card (2002) The "report card" represents a snapshot of mobility in Chapel Hill during the fall of 2001. The idea for the report card was first described in the 2000 Chapel Hill Comprehensive Plan, where it was recommended as a means to monitor and evaluate the progress towards Town-wide mobility goals.
