Town Parking Lots 2 and 5 Development
The Town Council has initiated
the
Downtown Economic Development Initiative, a process for issuing a Request for Proposals to develop Parking Lots 2 and 5, both Town-owned sites. The Town of Chapel Hill
has hired a professional consulting firm to help plan and manage the options for proceeding with the development of
the sites. The consultant will play a key role in the Request for Proposals process for developing the sites.
The
Downtown Chapel Hill Design Workshop held in February and March 2002, served as a tool for implementing strategies in the Downtown Small Area Plan (2000). The website includes links to the 3-D computer model depicting Workshop concepts.
