Tip-A-Cop Fundraiser to Benefit the Law Enforcement Torch RunÒ for
Special Olympics North Carolina
 

Date and Time:          Saturday, June 10th; 1200 noon until 9:00 pm

Sunday, June 11th ;  1200 noon until 9:00 pm
 

Location:                    Town Hall Grill, 410 Market Street, Southern Village, Chapel Hill, NC 27516
 

Description:               Chapel Hill Police officers will participate in the 2006 Tip-A-Cop promotion when they wait on tables at Town Hall Grill located in Southern Village. Officers hope that the restaurant’s patrons will leave a special tip as a donation to Special Olympics North Carolina. As an extra incentive for diners, officers will be selling Torch Run T-shirts, hats and Give-A-Way Tickets for several chances at some great prizes.
 

The Tip-A-Cop fundrasier will benefit the Law Enforcement Torch RunÒ, which hopes to raise $1.0 million this year for Special Olympics North Carolina. In addition to the Tip-A-Cop fundraiser, officers will also raise funds through T-shirt, baseball caps sales, individual and corporate donations, and special events including golf tournaments, building sits and polar plunges.

The Law Enforcement Torch RunÒ is an international event to raise money for Special Olympics, which provides year-round sports training and competition for more than one million children and adults who have intellectual disabilities or a closely related developmental disability. More than 32,000 athletes participate in Special Olympics in North Carolina.
