Halloween 2005
 

Halloween on Franklin Street drew a crowd of approximately 50,000 people. 

The streets were cleared of people at 2:10 A.M. and opened to traffic around 3:20 A.M., after being cleaned by Town crews.

Despite the smaller crowd, several serious incidents were reported, including fights, a woman being grabbed, and a stabbing.

Ten citations were issued for alcohol violations.

Eleven people were arrested in the closed area.  Charges included:

  • Carrying a Concealed Weapon (a handgun)

  • Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver Marijuana

  • Injury to Real Property

  • Disorderly Conduct

  • Assault on a Government Official

  • Simple Affray

Orange County Emergency Medical Services responded to approximately forty calls.

A shooting occurred outside of the closed area and was not related to the Halloween Festival.  Three people were involved in the incident at 309-A Lindsey Street, resulting in two people being shot.  Two people were arrested.
