A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE WITH THE SEARCH FOR TOWN MANAGER (2006-03-27/R-8)

WHEREAS, the Town Manager has announced his retirement to be effective September 1, 2006; and

WHEREAS, the Town Council has formed a search committee comprised of the Mayor and three members of the Council to conduct a search for the next Town Manager; and

WHEREAS, the Committee proposes to engage the services of Anita Badrock and Tim Dempsey as outside facilitators to assist them in this work;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Mayor is authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the Town with Anita Badrock and Tim Dempsey to provide assistance with the work related to this search for an amount up to $35,000.
