SUBJECT:      2005 Legislative Update

Attached is a copy of the resolution adopted by the Town Council in March 2005, establishing its legislative program for the 2005 Session of the North Carolina General Assembly.

As noted in a report to the Town Council in September 2005, with the exception of efforts to obtain improved state funding for protection of University facilities, the Town’s requests for legislation, both local and state-wide, were generally not well received last year.
