SUBJECT:      Public Forum on Municipal Wireless Network

DATE:            February 27, 2006

I am petitioning the Town Council to sponsor a public forum this Spring for the sole purpose of education on what a municipal wireless network is, general information on other places that have deployed such a network, pros/cons, and a look into how citizens, government, and UNC could potentially utilize such a system.  This would be entirely educational and informational in nature.

I would like to suggest that two members of Council be responsible for organizing this event, and I would be one of them.
