A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A BID PROPOSAL FROM NEXTBUS INFORMATION SYSTEMS, INC. FOR A REAL TIME PASSENGER INFORMATION SYSTEM (2006-02-27/R-3)

WHEREAS, the Town has received grant funding to implement a Real Time Passenger Information System for Chapel Hill Transit; and

WHEREAS, Nextbus Information Systems, Inc. has emerged from a multi-step selection process among the four firms who submitted proposals as the firm most qualified to provide these services;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Town Manager is authorized to execute a contract in the amount of $949,025 with NextBus Information Systems, Inc. for the Real Time Passenger Information System for Chapel Hill Transit in accordance with the terms described in the Town Manager’s report of February 27, 2006.
