SUBJECT:      Concept Plans:  IPTL Office Building at Meadowmont

DATE:            April 19, 2006

Tonight, the Council considers Concept Plans for a proposal by Intellectual Property Technology Law (IPTL) to construct an office building.

This proposal involves amending the Meadowmont Master Land Use Plan and constructing a 14,000-square-foot office building with 38 parking spaces.  The proposed development is located in the Meadowmont Development at the northeast corner of West Barbee Chapel Hill Road and NC Highway 54.  In accordance with the Land Use Management Ordinance, there has been no staff review of this Concept Plan.

We recommend that the Council review this Concept Plan, receive comments from the Community Design Commission and citizens, and adopt a resolution transmitting comments to the applicant.
