A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN A COOPERATIVE PURCHASING AGREEMENT AMONG LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS AND THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA, FOR A PURCHASING CONTRACT WITH CISCO SYSTEMS, INC. (2006-05-08/R-3)
WHEREAS, the Town of Chapel Hill and other Local Government Units, hereafter called “participating parties”, in order to conserve resources, reduce procurement cost, and desire to join for the purpose of procuring certain information technology products under the same terms, conditions and pricing as each other; and
WHEREAS, there is currently no active contact at the state level for Cisco information technology products and services; and
WHEREAS, the participating parties, desire to purchase from the City of Jacksonville’s agreement with Cisco Systems Inc. for these products; and
WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statutes Chapter 160A, Article 20, Part 1 authorizes interlocal cooperation; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council hereby authorizes the Town Manager to enter into the attached cooperative purchasing agreement with the other Local Government Units.
