A RESOLUTION DIRECTING EXPEDITED PROCESSING IN THE REVIEW OF A CONCEPT PLAN REVIEW AND A SPECIAL USE PERMIT MODIFICATION APPLICATION FOR MASON FARM WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT RECLAIMED WATER SYSTEM (2006-05-08/R-8)

WHEREAS, the Town of Chapel Hill has received a petition for the Orange Water and Sewer Authority requesting expedited processing of a Concept Plan Review and a Special Use Permit Modification application seeking approval to develop a reclaimed water system at the Wastewater Treatment Plant on Mason Farm Road; and

WHEREAS, the Town Council finds that there is a significant public purpose associated with the development of this application;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Town Manager is directed to expedite processing of the development proposal for the reclaimed water system, in a manner that will speed review without sacrificing breadth or depth of analysis, and allow a June 19, 2006 Concept Plan Review by the Town Council and encourage action on a formal application to allow construction to begin by March 31, 2007.
