A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF THE TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE TO THE TOWN OF CHAPEL HILL (2006-04-10/R-11)

WHEREAS, the Town Council established the Technology Committee on April 6, 1998 to assist Town staff in considering areas of communication and technology needs identified in an April 1997 report; and

WHEREAS, the Technology Committee advised the Town Council and staff in technology related matters in the successful formation of a town-wide network; and

WHEREAS, the Technology Committee assisted the Council in identifying staffing and budgetary needs necessary to develop the Information Technology Department;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council extends its appreciation to the following citizens who have served on the Technology Committee: Ralph Beisner, Terri Buckner, Aris Buinevicius, Peter Calingaert, Jeremy Collins, Evelyn Daniel, Joel Dunn, Gregg Gerdau, Dr. William E. GrovesFrank Holt, Martha Hoylman, Steve Irving, Karim Kheireddine, Andrew Lee, David Lewis, Jenna McPhee, Douglas W. Noell, Uzoma Nwasu, John Oberlin, Brandon Perkins, Allan Polak, Joe Ragland, Will Raymond, Roscoe E. Reeve, Penny Rich, Alan Rimer, Brian Russell, Donald Shaw, Tim Stephens, Tamea Stewart and the late Richard Taylor.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the service of the Technology Committee is concluded effective June 30, 2006.
