A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACTIVITIES OF THE 2006-2007 HOME PROGRAM (2006-04-24/R-8)
WHEREAS, the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill held two public hearings to receive citizen comments and proposals regarding the use of $665,560 of federal 2006-2007 HOME Program funds, and $149,751 of local matching funds for a total of $950,583;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council approves the following activities to be carried out by the members of the Orange County HOME Consortium in 2006-2007:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council authorizes this plan to be incorporated into the Annual Update to the 2005-2010 Consolidated Plan developed with Orange County, Hillsborough and Carrboro for submittal to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development on May 15, 2006.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council authorizes reallocation of $100,000 previously awarded to the Town of Hillsborough for infrastructure development for a joint affordable housing project with Habitat for Humanity in the Fairview neighborhood.
