A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF $150,000 - $200,000 IN AVAILABLE STREETSCAPE BOND FUNDS TO PURCHASE OF RIGHT-OF-WAY AND CONSTRUCT MISSING SECTIONS OF SIDEWALKs ON ROSEMARY STREET (2006-05-22/R-9b)
WHEREAS, the Council adopted the Downtown Streetscape Master Plan as part of the Town’s Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, on March 6, 2006, the Town Council received an interim report from the Streetscape Master Plan Review Committee recommending that available funding be utilized to complete missing sections of sidewalk on Rosemary Street; and
WHEREAS, on May 22, 2006, the Town Council received a report from the Town Manager in response to recommendations made by the Streetscape Master Plan Review Committee; and
WHEREAS, $125,000 is currently available in bond funding;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council hereby authorizes the use of $150,000 - $200,000 in available Streetscape bond funds to purchase right-of-way and construct missing sections of sidewalks on Rosemary Street.
