Description: Consider possible collaborative preparation of a small area plan for the adjoining Downtown areas of Chapel Hill and Carrboro.

February 13, 2006 Status: New Goal.

May 8, 2006 Status:  A letter was sent to the Carrboro Board of Alderman on March 13, 2006 requesting participation in the proposed West End Small Area Plan.

Products to Be Produced and Timetable

• Mayor to invite representatives from the Town of Carrboro Board of Aldermen to see if there is mutual interest in this idea. February 2006
• Propose a process and schedule Spring 2006, if interested

September 11, 2006 Status: Carrboro is expected to act on the Town’s request to discuss the possible development of a small area plan in September 2006.
