SUBJECT:      Concept Plan: Purefoy Road Subdivision

 

DATE:            September 18, 2006

 

 

Tonight, the Council considers a Concept Plan for the Purefoy Road Subdivision.  The 19.5-acre site is located on the north side of Purefoy Road approximately 700 feet east of the intersection of Rogers Road and Purefoy Road. 

 

The development proposal includes construction of 52 single-family dwelling units.  The applicant, Habitat for Humanity of Orange County, proposes to construct affordable dwelling units in collaboration with Orange Community Housing and Land Trust, and Empowerment.  The site is located in the Residential-1 (R-1) zoning district and outside the Town limits.  In accordance with the Land Use Management Ordinance, there has been no staff review of the Concept Plan.

 

We recommend that the Council review this Concept Plan, receive comments from the Community Design Commission and citizens, and adopt a resolution transmitting comments to the applicant.
