A RESOLUTION TO AFFIRM THAT MEMBERS OF THE DOWNTOWN PARKING CITIZENS COMMITTEE SHALL BE PERMITTED TO DISCUSS, ADVOCATE AND VOTE ON MATTERS BEFORE THE COMMITTEE (2006-10-09/R-11)

 

WHEREAS, the Town Council established a Downtown Parking Citizens Committee to advise the Council on Parking issues; and

 

WHEREAS, the membership of the Committee was chosen with the intent of representing various interest groups;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council acknowledges the intent to include various interest groups on the Downtown Parking Citizens Committee and that the Ethics Guidelines for Town Advisory Boards and Commissions regarding conflict of interest do not apply when the members represent themselves as a member of the interest group for which they were selected to participate on the Committee.
