SUBJECT:      Bicycle Commuter Access to Research Triangle Park

DATE:            October 23, 2006

As we continue to make our community friendlier for cyclists and pedestrians – and encourage alternative forms of commuting – I think we should explore the possibility of a bicycle commuter route from Chapel Hill to the Research Triangle Park.

I would like to petition the Council to refer the issue to the Town Manager, the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board, and the Transportation Board so that they can give the Council input.
