A RESOLUTION REFERRING THE FORDHAM BOULEVARD WORK GROUP REPORT AND RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE TOWN STAFF (2006-11-06/R-6)

WHEREAS, the Chapel Hill Town Council is concerned about pedestrian and bicycle access, circulation and safety on Fordham Boulevard between Manning Drive and Old Mason Farm Road; and

WHEREAS, the Council appointed a work group to identify and evaluate options for improving pedestrian and bicycle access, circulation and safety on Fordham Boulevard between Manning Drive and Old Mason Farm Road; and

WHEREAS, the Council has received a report prepared by the work group, including recommendations for possible improvements;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council herewith refers the Fordham Boulevard Safety Work Group report and recommendations to Town staff for review and comment including a proposed action plan for implementing improvement recommendations.
