date: |
November 6, 2006 |
Tonight, the Council continues the Public Hearing from October 4, 2006, regarding a request for Special Use Permit Modification for a proposed general business or convenience business use at the Eastgate Shopping Center. The purpose of this cover memorandum is to forward the Town Manager’s Recommendation to the Council for the Starbucks at Eastgate Shopping Center Special Use Permit Modification application. The application proposes to remodel a 1,920 square-foot vacant service station at 1800B East Franklin Street, converting its use to a coffee shop. No additional floor area is proposed. Details are included in the attached memorandum.
The Town Manger has reviewed and discussed the key issues with Town staff. Based on the information in the record to date, we believe that the Council could make the findings required to approve the Special Use Permit Modification application. The Town Manager’s Recommendation is that the Council adopt revised Resolution A, approving the application with conditions.
