Re:

Continuation and Expansion of Pottery Program in Chapel Hill

Mayor Foy and Council Members:

We are writing to request time on the agenda of the November 13th Town Council Meeting.

After 30 years, the Lincoln Arts Studio lease terminates at the end of 2007, and unless renegotiated now, or other creative measures are taken quickly, the pottery program will cease to exist.  We believe this is a vital community issue that deserves the council’s attention, as citizens from all walks of life including youth, seniors, and those with disabilities utilize the facility and their lives will be sorely diminished if the program dissolves.

Respectfully,

Citizens for the Preservation of Lincoln Arts Center
