INTRODUCTION
Tonight, the Council continues the Chapel Hill Bible Church Park/Ride Terminal Public Hearing from November 13, 2006. The purpose of this cover memorandum is to forward the Town Manager’s recommendation to the Council for the Chapel Hill Bible Church Park/Ride Terminal Special Use Permit Application. The application is for a proposed Park/Ride Terminal and would allow the applicant, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, to lease from the Chapel Hill Bible Church 241 existing parking spaces to University employees as an accessory use to the Place of Worship. Details are included in the attached memorandum.
MANAGER’S RECOMMEDATION
The Town Manager has reviewed and discussed the key issues with the Town staff. Based on the information in the record to date, the Town Manager’s recommendation is that the Council adopt revised Resolution A, approving the application with conditions.
