SUBJECT: |
Concept Plan: Old Oxford Subdivision |
|
|
DATE: |
January 17, 2007 |
Tonight, the Council considers a Concept Plan for the Old Oxford Subdivision. The 24.3-acre site is located on the northeast corner of Smith Level Road and Woodward Way and south and west of the Dogwood Acres neighborhood.
The development proposal involves the creation of four single-family lots. The applicant proposes to construct a single access road to serve the site from Woodward Way. All lots are proposed to be served by individual wells and septic systems. The site is located in the Residential-Low Density-5 (R-LD-5) zoning district with portions in the Resource Conservation District. The site is outside the Town limits and the Urban Services Area and within Chapel Hill’s Extraterritorial Zoning Jurisdiction. In accordance with the Land Use Management Ordinance, there has been no staff review of the Concept Plan.
We recommend that the Council review this Concept Plan, receive comments from the Community Design Commission and citizens, and adopt a resolution transmitting comments to the applicant.
The attached memorandum for the Concept Plan proposal includes background information on the Concept Plan process, the applicant’s materials, and additional related information.
