A RESOLUTION SCHEDULING A PUBLIC HEARING TO AMEND THE LAND USE MANAGEMENT ORDINANCE REGARDING EXPANSION OF THE TREE PROTECTION ORDINANCE AND AUTHORIZING THE MANAGER TO  SEEK REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS FOR SUBSTANTIVE CHANGES TO THE TREE PROTECTION REGULATIONS (2007-02-12/R-4)

WHEREAS the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill endorsed a goal from the Planning Retreat in January 2006, regarding expansion of the tree protection regulations;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council hereby schedules a Public Hearing for May 14, 2007 for the purpose of considering amending Chapel Hill’s Land Use Management Ordinance provisions regarding expansion of the tree protection regulations and further authorizes the Manager to seek Requests for Proposals for a consultant to guide more substantive changes to the tree protection regulations, as identified in the Planning Board petition.
