subject:	Appointments to the Northern Area Task Force

Tonight, the Council may make appointments to nine vacancies on the Northern Area Task Force.

On March 26, 2007, the Council adopted a resolution, which established the Northern Area Task Force.  This 15-member task force is to include: six members from advisory boards; five citizens of the Northern Area living within the Town limits of Chapel Hill; three business owners or landowners of the Northern Area; and one citizen of the Chapel Hill Joint Planning Transition Area living within the Northern Area.

While the northern, western and southern borders on the map of the Northern Area Task Force study area are clearly defined by a road or railroad track, the eastern boundary is more of a broad stroke to join the northern and southern points.  Included for your consideration are applicants that are slightly beyond the purple scribed line on the eastern side.  Included with each applicant’s form is a map showing the location of their residence in relation to the area.
