MEMORANDUM

SUBJECT:	Bolin Creek Trail (Phase III)

The Commission voted unanimously (9-0) to recommend adoption of the draft Bolin Creek Trail Concept Plan with the following changes:

• The Commission recommends pursuing an at-grade crossing of Umstead Drive with traffic calming measures if a below-grade crossing would require an involuntary acquisition of a house on Umstead Drive.

• The Commission recommends that the concept study be expanded to explore the potential of extending a portion of the trail along Estes Drive Extension to gain access to Carolina North in addition to the study area already undertaken.

Present: Terry Blalock, Chair; Betsey Anderson; Neal Bench; Bob Broad; Cory Brooks; Eugene Farrar; Pete Schwartz; Diane VandenBroek; and Andre Wesson.

Absent: Faith Nager, Vice-Chair and Joan Guilkey. A quorum was present.
