Tonight, the Council receives an additional follow-up report regarding the March 7, 2007, work session on the Northern Area. I concur with the staff recommendation that enacting a Moratorium for the Northern Area would be appropriate to allow the time required for the Northern Area Task Force to complete its work, and while any resulting design standards or other changes are adopted or enacted by the Town.
A Public Hearing has been scheduled for May 7, 2007, to consider a Moratorium. Appointments for the Northern Area Task Force are scheduled for tonight.
Staff work regarding the Moratorium and the Northern Area Task Force will affect the work previously scheduled for the Comprehensive Plan Update and may affect the staff work associated with the Rogers Road Small Area Plan.
