Application for the North Carolina Botanical Garden Visitor Education Center - Special Use Permit Application, Planned Development-Office and Institutional |
date: |
April 23, 2007 |
Tonight, the Council continues the Public Hearing regarding a request for a Special Use Permit to allow expansion of the North Carolina Botanical Garden facility, located on the southeast side of Fordham Boulevard between Old Mason Farm Road and Coker Drive. The purpose of this cover memorandum is to forward my recommendations to the Council for the above application. Please refer to the accompanying memorandum for additional information on this matter.
I have reviewed and discussed the key issues with Town staff. Based on the information in the record to date, I believe that the Council could make the findings required to approve the application for a Special Use Permit.
My recommendation is that the Council adopt Revised Resolution A, approving the North Carolina Botanical Garden Visitor Education Center Special Use Permit application.
