Dear Mayor and Council,

            We, the youth and residents of Trinity Ct. and Pritchard Park neighborhoods in Chapel Hill, request that the following changes be put in place:

• that street lights be put along the hill and entrance way to the Trinity Ct. complex.

• that street lights also be put along Pritchard Ave Extension which runs in between the two neighborhoods, and in the entrance way to Pritchard Park.

• that a crosswalk with children crossing sign and flashing light be put between the entrance to Trinity Ct. and the curb and hill that separates Pritchard Park from Pritchard Ave Extension.

• that trees be pruned along the Trinity Ct. entrance way so that visibility is better.

The need for these changes is very easy to see and apparent to anyone who passes through on Pritchard Ave Extension, especially at night.   So much so, that the fact that these things we are requesting have not already been added long ago looks like a case of neglect on the part of the town.  These changes are absolutely vital to the safety of our youth, our children, and of all the residents of our two neighborhoods.    For these and other reasons, we ask that these changes be made a high priority and be made as soon as possible.
