RESOLUTION C

(Downzoning Report)

 

A RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE TOWN MANAGER TO PROVIDE A REPORT OUTLINING THE IMPLICATIONS OF DOWNZONING OR REZONING PROPERTY WITHOUT VESTED RIGHTS ALONG THE CORRIDOR OF MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. BOULEVARD, WEAVER DAIRY ROAD, AND EUBANKS ROAD (2007-03-26/R-9c)

 

WHEREAS, on March 7, 2007, the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill, held a work session to review development activity in the north and northwest areas of Chapel Hill; and

 

WHEREAS, the Council desires to better manage the future development along the corridors of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Weaver Dairy Road, and Eubanks Road; and

 

WHEREAS the Council desires additional information about options available and information of the implications of downzoning or rezoning developable property without vested rights along the corridor of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Weaver Dairy Road,  and Eubanks Road;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that the Council directs the Town Manager to provide a report outlining options and the work load and resource implications of downzoning or rezoning developable property without vested rights along the corridor of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Weaver Dairy Road, and Eubanks Road.
