User Fee Schedules and Policies

The attached resolution would approve user fee policies, fee schedules, and facility use policies for various Town services and facilities.  Proposed changes for 2007-08 are summarized below.  See Attachment 1 for detailed comparisons of changes proposed in the Fire and Parks & Recreation Departments.  Also see Attachment 2 for copies of the proposed policies and fee schedules for each department for 2007-08.

For several departments, including Engineering, Finance, Library, Police, and Public Works, we propose no changes in fees or policies for fiscal year 2007-08. Recommended changes for other departments are as discussed below.  Changes are minor in amount and in the number of parties affected.

RECOMMENDATION

That the Council adopt the attached resolution establishing the 2007-08 user fee policy.
