As there are no bicycle lanes on Pinehurst Drive, and motor vehicles often compete with bicycles while proceeding past the median islands, I hereby petition the Town Council to place signage on Pinehurst Drive to the effect that motor vehicles should yield to bicycles when approaching and proceeding past the median islands. (Language to be used to be determined in consultation with the Chapel Hill Police Department.)
