PURPOSE
Tonight, the Council considers a proposed Land Use Management Ordinance Text Amendment regarding modifications to the Neighborhood Conservation District Process.
The purpose of this cover memorandum is to forward my recommendation to the Council.
MANAGER’S RECOMMENDATION
I believe the proposed modifications to the Neighborhood Conservation District process will benefit the residents of neighborhoods who may consider pursuing the Neighborhood Conservation District designation. Petitioning neighborhoods will have an opportunity to learn about the designation and consider the impact of the designation before moving forward with the formal process to become a Neighborhood Conservation District. My recommendation is that the Council enact the attached Ordinance, approving the proposed Land Use Management Ordinance Text Amendment.
