(Denying the Special Use Permit Application)

A RESOLUTION DENYING AN APPLICATION FOR A SPECIAL USE PERMIT PLANNED DEVELOPMENT-HOUSING FOR THE PUREFOY DRIVE DEVELOPMENT

BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Chapel Hill that it finds that the Special Use Permit Planned Development-Housing application proposed by the Habitat for Humanity of Orange County, on property identified as Orange County Parcel Identifier Numbers 9870-54-7219; 9870-54-7411; 9870-54-7514; 9870-54-7627; 9870-54-7830; 9870-54-7922; 9870-54-9248; 9870-54-9441; 9870-54-9543; 9870-54-9679; 9870-54-9850; 9870-54-9950; 9870-55-7013; 9870-55-9063; 9870-64-1606; 9870-64-3619; and 9870-64-6459; if developed according to the site plans dated October 26, 2006, revised April 13, 2007, June 1, 2007, and August 10, 2007, would not:

  1. Be located, designed, and proposed to be operated so as to maintain or promote the public health, safety, and general welfare;
  2. Comply with all required regulations and standards of Land Use Management Ordinance;
  3. Be located, designed, and proposed to be operated so as to maintain or enhance the value of contiguous property; and 
  4. Conform with the general plans for the physical development of the Town as embodied in the Land Use Management Ordinance and the Comprehensive Plan.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Council hereby denies the application for a Special Use Permit Planned Development-Housing for the Purefoy Drive Development in accordance with the plans listed above and with the conditions listed below:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council hereby denies the application for the Special Use Permit Planned Development-Housing application for the Purefoy Drive Development.
