FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Application - Resolution to Designate Applicant’s Agent

PURPOSE

 

The attached resolution would designate the Roger Stancil, Town Manager to act as the Town’s agent for matters pertaining to the Town’s Hazard Mitigation Grant Application for the Camelot Village Acquisition Project.  George Small, Director of Engineering, is designated as the secondary agent.

BACKGROUND AND DISCUSSION

 

After submitting the FEMA Form 90-63, Designation of Applicant’s Agent, approved by the Town Council at its meeting on October 22, 2007 to the North Carolina Division of Emergency Management, Town staff was notified that the old form had been sent to Chapel Hill by mistake.  The Town Attorney reviewed the updated form and determined that the Town Council would need to adopt the updated Designation of Applicant’s Agent form.    

 

RECOMMENDATION

 

We recommend approval of the attached resolution and form that would designate Roger Stancil, Town Manager, and George Small, Director of Engineering, to act as the Town’s agents in matters pertaining to the Town’s hazard mitigation grant application.
