ADVISORY BOARD ACTION

Subject:	Northern Area Task Force Report
Meeting Date:	October 24, 2007
Recommendation:	The Community Design Commission made the following recommendations:
	That the Northern Area Task Force Report be adopted as part of the Comprehensive Plan and should not include the Northern Area Task Force consultant reports as part of the Comprehensive Plan. That Council rezone the selected properties identified by the North Area Task Force to R-1 and at the same time establish a committee to prepare TOD guidelines and develop TOD zones within 9 months.
Vote:	9-0
	Ayes:  Mark Broadwell, George Cianciolo, Kathryn James, Gretchen MacNair, Laura King Moore, Scott Nilsen, Amy Ryan, Jonathan Whitney (Chair), and Robin Whitsell (Vice-Chair).
Comment:	Some Board members felt the Town should not move too quickly to rezone properties. They felt the Town should be specific as to how long before rezoning to Transit Oriented Development.
