Recommendation: |
The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Board made the following recommendations: |
- Replace the illustration on p12 with an illustration from the NC86 bicycle and pedestrian safety study that shows landscape between vehicle travel lanes and the sidewalk (this would reflect the task force recommendations)
- Add an objective under the pedestrian and bicycle mobility section: Connect bicycle facilities with greenways on the Greenways Master Plan where possible.

Comment: Some Board members felt the Town should consider providing bicycle facilities separated from the road way by a curb in order to promote biking among young, novice, or cautious bikers.
